I received Season Three as a Christmas gift. I was told that the wrong item was initially sent, but the problem was corrected very quickly and in a friendly manner! I absolutely Love having Road to Avonlea to watch whenever I want (which has turned out to be nearly daily)! I have seen other reviews that are critical of aspects of the item-1). The packaging-Personally, I love the packaging. There are two springs at the bottom of each disc and two small pegs at the top of each disc; to release the disc simply press lightly down against the springs and lift out of the pegs. I find it much more user friendly than standard dvd packaging. 2). Captions-I was able to access captions through my tv settings (for me it was found in the audio section of the tv menu). 3). Disc not playing-I did have some problems playing disc two in one of my DVD players (it plays perfectly in a different player though), the actual disc seems thicker than the rest of the set (I have had problems with other discs on the same player as well though, not just from Sullivan Entertainment), so maybe my player couldn’t adjust for the weight? I am very happy with my gift! I love the costumes, the set designs, the stories, the acting, the music...everything, really! I loved the series as a child and I still love it 30 years later!

No captions!

No captions, no subtitles despite what is mentioned on the website for this season. Not on laptop, playstation,... the subtitles are nowhere to be found. This is giving false information and I would not have bought the DVD’s if it was mentioned no subtitles are available. But you do not even accept a return.

Hi,

This DVD does indeed have captions. Please check this link for instructions on how to enable them: https://www.roadtoavonlea.com/blog-posts/how-to-turn-on-subtitles-for-road-to-avonlea
